Herbs and vegetables

We have lovely weather and the herbs and vegetables on my terrace are growing fast.

I have been knitting out in the sun and here is my new dishcloth.

The cucumbers are ready to be eaten.

but the toamtoes are still green

and the peppers too

one half red chili, the rest are green

the leaks are growing fast

and I can pick herbs and rucola every day

The floers are in desperate need of water.

The parsley has lived through the winter in this pot but the other two are new

It is so nice to watch the cucumber bloom

This is another dishcloth not my colours at all.
Not much sewing or weaving lately but the summer holiday is long and not far away for me.

Long time, no writing, again

The months have passed away fast and I have neither been blogging nor sewing.

In the beginning of May I went to Lillehammer with two friends to see a beautiful excebition 1001 threads it is called.
I only show you a few pictures of lovely patchwork and weaving and i would recommend you to go and see for yourself.

Old quilts.

Quilting by the Norwegian artist Inger Johanne RAsmussen.

Tapestry made late 1800 or early 1900 by Frida Hansen

I have done some knitting, but I really need some inspiration to get on the track again.
Here are my latest finishes a neck warmer and wrist warmers.

I have been knitting some mittens and here are three pairs.

On the 24th of May my quilt guild went on a trip to Tønsberg to Quiltefryd and here are my purchases.

I am looking forward to using them and have some ideas. I will show you when they are finished.
Sommer holiday in 15 days and I will hopefully spend much time sewing.

Lazy blogger and 2 pairs of mittens

Not many finishes from me this month.
Only 2 pairs of mittens which I forgot to take pictures of.
But I have been working on some of my unfinished projects.

These fabrics are going to be covers for some baby duvets. Not much left to sew now.

Here are some strips for a challenge I have joined, I just have to cut them and sew them together again.
As you can see blue is still my no one colour.

I got these wonderful fabrics when I was at a meeting in my local quilt guild on Wednesday.

I have some very nice colleges and today when I came to work one of them had bought some flowers for me and one of the others. It really brightened my day.

We have got a lot of snow these past weeks and it is so bright and light outside, I'll show you a picture later. Have a nice week end.

2014

Last year I had a lot of New Years resolutions.
Not many this year but I am going to focus on my UFOs.
My top picture is one of them, it's Lancaster designed by Sue Daily.

My last purchases in 2013 at Lappemakeriet one of my local quiltshops.

i have, among other,  focused these first days in 2014 on cutting fabrics for the Celtic Solstice mystery by Bonnie Hunter.

A lot of small fabrics to cut and put together again.

I have joined a challenge on facebook to finish five quilts before starting some new.
Today I finished stitching a Christmas mystery from last year in Quiltemagasinet. Now I have to connect them with some fabrics.
I have also found three other stitcheries in need of some fabrics.

Take a look at my sidebar and you will see two other challenges I have joined.
